To Be A Ghost

"To Be A Ghost" 2022
Reduction linocut

To Be A Ghost_edited.jpg

This reduction linocut is a product of my contemplation of my time at Mount Holyoke. Playing with pattern and perspective, I want this scene to feel like a reflection of memories. The focal point of a ghost sits at a dorm bay window, with the checkerboard pattern of the ceiling and floor drawing you in with a one-point perspective and symmetry. The border was inspired from an Emily Dickinson book of poems I was gifted from a dear friend.
