about.
Emily Donahue (she/her) is a wide ranging interdisciplinary artist from printmaking to woodworking. She has been motivated to center her life in the arts and in the first months of the pandemic, took the opportunity to create a business called Emily’s Closet selling artworks from her college dorm room. Now having graduated with a degree in Art Studio from Mount Holyoke College, she has sold over 250 artworks, performed multiple outdoor installations, exhibited works at A.P.E. Gallery, Paragon Studios, Blanchard Art Gallery, Gaylord Memorial Library, and collaborated in a public mural. She wants to be a signal of hope for queer individuals who struggle with mental illness and yearns for the world to be a kinder, more accepting place. Donahue’s artworks give a tactile, experiential, immersive experience with the underlying message of spreading respect and appreciation to the world around us.
